Dear CTI Friends and Family—

As plans and actions for the Creative Thinkers International Anthology continue to develop, we have taken a number of steps to achieve our goal. One of the biggest steps has been to establish presences with links on other sites to further spread the word about CTI and generate support for the publication of the anthology and other CTI related projects.

One of the places we have secured a supportive location is on Facebook under these names: Creative Minds at Work and Play and Modern Man of Letters.  In addition to providing support for the anthology initiative, a major function of the Facebook location will be to post links to the pages of CTI members and allow the world to discover the great works you have shared. If you’re on Facebook, please connect with us on the pages for Creative Minds at Work and Play and Modern Manof-Letters .

We have also taken the step of placing on Creative Thinkers International a donation widget where individuals and organizations may donate funds through PayPal to the CTI Initiative. We recognize that in these challenging economic times, not everyone can make such donations, but for those who can we are happy to make it easy for you to do so.

The anthology submission and evaluation process is also under development and we’re looking forward to sharing more news with you soon.

Your friendly CTI Admim Team and Aberjhani

The CTI Admin Folks

Hi!

I am on facebook. I also have a page there, Carmen Ruggero - Poetry which I connect with my website Musings and Rhymes. I get a lot of hits but no comments on site or on facebook. So I don't know if facebook is helping or not. It may be, but I can't tell. The idea of sharing the work is to expose it and share in discussion. So I'm sort of out of ideas. I think CTI is a good thing, and I agree with you, it would be nice to see it grow.

Carmen

Hi, Carmencita!

Just posted a reply to Aberjhani re Facebook.  Thought u might like to see.

By the way, I re-checked The Yarn Spinner link in my news

announcement at authorsden.  It works, but AD set up a detour.

Takes you to a Den page [for advertising purposes?], but there

is a link/message near the top that says something to the effect that

you are en route to the site you shoulda gotten in the first

place.  It's aggravatin', but what can you do.

After midnight, better haul arse.

Luvyoo!

I dropped out of Facebook, but am going to re-up so I can help spread the word.  If you don't see my name within a week, remind me if you get a chance.

M a y get a website up before long.   Maintained an educational site for several years, but it got to be more than I could handle, financially and otherwise.  Doubt I'll have time to keep a site updated & interactive, but. . .we'll see.  Got any advice?

Gotta go.  Hope to finally post news re the CTI feature at Author's Den before I hit the hay.  News and events announcements response is nearly always disappointing [which as you know, is true of everything except poetry], but it can't hurt.   Sorry to be so slow to get to it.  Been busier'n the proverbial paperhanger.  Don't have to tell you how that is!

Also plan to post a blog re a short essay that Leann Marshall has included in the autumn issue of

Sketch Notes,  "What Happened to Polite?"

Cheers!

Pea

The Path of a Creative Thinker at CTI

CREATIVE THINKERS INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

1. Membership at CTI is free and open to all those interested in either the production or appreciation of the creative arts, to include literature, visual art, dance, music, film, spiritual theory, the social sciences, philosophy, general humanities, scientific inquiry, education in general, and other disciplines intended to enhance the quality of life for all humanity. Applicants should be at least 17 years old and members are allowed one full profile per person.

2. Materials posted by Members of CTI are their sole responsibility and not that of CTI management or any other member of the CTI site.

3. While recognizing that the work of creative artists is often controversial by its very nature, CTI prohibits and discourages the posting of any overtly obscene and intentionally inflammatory material. These include overt pornography, racist diatribes, religious slander, and any postings promoting discrimination against or the oppression of other human beings.

4. In the interest of stimulating creative growth, we encourage dialogue and even debate. However, Members should avoid leaving intentionally offensive or antagonistic remarks on the pages of Fellow Members. We can disagree and still remain a harmonious community.

5. Explore, grow, share, and enjoy your creative success.

Please remember, these guidelines are likely to evolve as the site itself continues to evolve and develop. We welcome and encourage your input. After all, yours are some of the best minds on the planet so we would be very foolish not to listen to what you have to say.
