Or Maybe This One

Proposed Cover Number 2 for my new novel, ISAIAH'S TEARS.

I thought I only had one choice to consider for the cover of my forthcoming new novel, ISAIAH'S TEARS, and I was pretty happy with that one choice. Then I found out there's actually an alternative, which is the one you see here, and I'm happy with it also. Which means that now I have to choose between the two, but that's the kind of problem I like.

A Sneak Peek Preview of Isaiah's Tears

(Cover art for Isaiah’s Tears, the new novel by Robert T.S. Mickles, Sr.)

Ever since my first novel, BLOOD KIN, A SAVANNAH STORY, became a top five ESSENCE Magazine bestseller back in March, I’ve been telling people that a second novel is on the way. A big part of the gratitude is just… Continue

The moment I learned that my novel, Blood Kin, A Savannah Story, had made the top five on ESSENCE Magazine’s Best Seller List for Paperback Fiction, February 2008 became one of the most fantastic Black History Months I could ever hope to celebrate. Then I had the incredible honor of meeting the magazine’s former editorial director and… Continue

My Novel Is Number 4 on ESSENCE Best Sellers List

It seems a lot of faith, word of mouth advertising, and grass roots marketing has paid off because my first novel "Blood Kin, A Savannah Story" has just debuted at number four on ESSENCE Magazine’s Best Seller Book List for paperback fiction.

A friend who saw the list before I did called me at three o’clock in the morning to tell me about it and I got too excited to go back to sleep so stayed awake until it was time to go to work as a… Continue

The first pair of All Stars that I brought cost $9.99. I sold Jet Magazines from door to door and saved my money and brought a pair of white high tops. Now the same CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STARS cost $60.00.
