FLIGHTS OF FANCY
a chartered plane waited at the airport
a well-paid pilot sips champagne
three personal assistants followed him
nannies assisted his kids
his wife strides with her Hermes bag
they boarded the plane
he was offered cognac
he then switched on his Apple
and opened his email to read communications
then he played chess titan for fifteen minutes
he slouched comfortably and took a nap
while his kids tinkered their Ipads or played Miwi
his shoulder was tapped thirty minutes later
as the plane touched down
they were accosted by a chauffeur
they rode on an elegant bullet proof van
they settled at once as the engine did its role
a private resort accommodated the party
for ten days they all forgot their worries
…they sipped champagne or brandy
…they quaffed a barrel of cola and beer
…they dined lavishly on sumptuous banquets
…they swam on the pool leisurely
…they sprawled anywhere reading mags or books
…they watched wonderful movies
And they decided to go home
A stylish chopper landed on the resort’s helipad
they went home on a palatial residence in a five hectare property
Again they took respite for the night.
Finally, he realized
All these just happened in his imagination
All but debris of his memorable journey
During his rare flights of fancy.
