More About Me and My World: I am interested in many fields of endeavour in my life. My 4 passions are: Music, Reading, Writing, and Astronomy, in order of most passionate interest downward. Music wise, I continue to focus on ethnic percussion. I have an extensive collection of poetry I wrote in University, and I took a long hiatus from writing after University, which was ended when I discovered this site.

I wrote mostly love/erotic poetry for a long time, ever since my poem here called "Embrace you" I wrote Metaphysical poetry before that, with a bit of gothic, and I have many metaphysical works. My present attempt at "Catharsis" and positive change in my life has lead me to writing more gothic, an expression of my angst of transition.

Reading wise, presently, I am reading primarily philosophy, and while I used to read almost nothing but fiction, I have switched predominantly to non fiction for a long time. Philosophically, Nietzche, Wittgenstien, and Kierkegaard are amongst my favorites.

I may do some short stories at some point, in the form of fairy tales and the like, including oriental and celtic based fairie tales.

Reading wise, I love gothic literature, and quality sci fi...I LOVE watching b grade horror/sci fi flicks though! :P

I have become more active in the city with live open mics that have emerged, and I have had my first solo gig, so my artistic life is progressing nicely :)

I love Kirtan (East Indian Devotional Chant). I don't believe in the deities, but the energy of it is very positive.

I have become a general spiritualist, but I follow much of the tenets of buddhism, in trying to apply those tenets to everyday life, especially rigthminfullness, lovingkindness, and right effort. At present, I am reading on Kabbalah, having read a primer on it, and I am now reading the texts from the Zohar.

New Years Resolutions

I was wondering what New Years Resolutions you CTI folk might have. For me, I take on general resolutions that I can work on throughout the year, more "organic" goals. I find them easier to keep. My resolution is two fold but related; I've resolved to be more even tempered in my emotions. 2012 has been a rather intense and very "up and down" year for me, and its left me hyperstimulated, mentally. The Path of a Creative Thinker at CTI

CREATIVE THINKERS INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

1. Membership at CTI is free and open to all those interested in either the production or appreciation of the creative arts, to include literature, visual art, dance, music, film, spiritual theory, the social sciences, philosophy, general humanities, scientific inquiry, education in general, and other disciplines intended to enhance the quality of life for all humanity. Applicants should be at least 17 years old and members are allowed one full profile per person.

2. Materials posted by Members of CTI are their sole responsibility and not that of CTI management or any other member of the CTI site.

3. While recognizing that the work of creative artists is often controversial by its very nature, CTI prohibits and discourages the posting of any overtly obscene and intentionally inflammatory material. These include overt pornography, racist diatribes, religious slander, and any postings promoting discrimination against or the oppression of other human beings.

4. In the interest of stimulating creative growth, we encourage dialogue and even debate. However, Members should avoid leaving intentionally offensive or antagonistic remarks on the pages of Fellow Members. We can disagree and still remain a harmonious community.

5. Explore, grow, share, and enjoy your creative success.

Please remember, these guidelines are likely to evolve as the site itself continues to evolve and develop. We welcome and encourage your input. After all, yours are some of the best minds on the planet so we would be very foolish not to listen to what you have to say.
