The love-birds

Love is in the air….
Those of you in places where spring is in the air might nod your head in affirmation and say,
“Oh yess!! Love is indeed in the air!!”
That is not the case here in God’s own land of Kerala. We are in the throes of summer. It’s hot and humid. But what does season matter when love fills your heart?? Has love ever been hindered by things so mundane??
Champ as true a lover as any has not let the season dampen his ardor for his lady-love. He is in love and seasons be damned. He ha… Continue

You killed me yesterday...

You killed me yesterday

when defenseless I lay

in your arms.

In love with you

longing for you

lost in the depths of your eyes

You killed me yesterday

when defenseless I lay

in your arms.

Your words

sharp as swords

sliced my heart neatly in two.

You killed me yesterday

when defenseless I lay

in your arms.

As I lay bleeding

life ebbing

you said you loved me still.

You killed me yesterday

when defenseless I lay

in your arms.

For the simple mistake

that I was no fake

I am a cipher...

I am a cipher

You try to decipher

To find your answer

My love, come closer

Take off your glasses

Look deep into my eyes

They hold the keys

That unlocks the codes.

See the wild roses

The haunting demons

The changing seasons

The heart’s reasons

Thorns that prick

What makes me tick

The castles I build

Dreams distilled

Loneliness that chills

Love that fills

Pride that kills

Silence that stills

Captive words

Like caged birds

Useless wings

Mere broken strings
