GO GIRL!!! NO BODY CAN DO IT LIKE YOU! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU WILL BE AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY YOUNG WOMEN IN THIS WORLD. SELF -ESTEEM IS SO IMPORTANT. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT CONCEPT ON LIFE THIS IS KEEPING GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING THAT YOU THINK, SAY, AND DO! IN ORDER TO GIVE LOVE YOU MUST FIRST LOVE THE ONE WHO GAVE LIFE, WHICH IS GOD!!! THE RULER AND BISHOP OF OUR SOULS. KEEP PRESSING TASHA..REMEBER ROMANS 8:28 " FOR WE KNOW THAT ALL THING WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THEM WHO LOVE THE LORD AND WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE." THIS IS MY FAVORITE PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE. GOD IS THE TRUTH AND THE DEVIL IS A LIAR. I LOVE YOU....BE SAFE.

Hi, and you sure deserve to be in the CTI Spotlight when you write like that. I really liked: "Thoughts Racing Through My Head" - I like your beach photos too. You sound like a positive, happy soul. Good luck and God bless you and yours.
PS: I tried to "invite you as friend" but I couldn't figure out how that worked(?)

More About Me and My World
I am a tall, black, plus size college student trying to make something out of herself. My major is Psychology with a minor in Education, with that I plan to become a middle school counselor (after teaching for at least three to five years). I want to be a beacon of light for the future generations and help them to embrace the opportunities they have and give them the courage to face the world. I love the kids!!!
I am cool, loud and a little wild. I rarely stop talking, but I am a great listener . I am called infamous and totally unforgettable. I love to write poetry and stories. I get hated on constantly (couldn't tell you why?). I love to make others happy, if you're not smiling when you come in connect with me believe you would be after while. I love being HAPPY!!!!! I hate DRAMA!!!

I am in a relationship with GOD. He and I are in the process of getting me right together. For I must first fix myself by turning my flaws into perfection and letting go my shortcomings, before I can give my heart to another. I must love me fully and completely without the thought of changing who I am to satisfy the wants of someone else. I am learning that if I cannot be lonely and happy with God as my only companion, then how can I expect to with another human being. I let the feeling of loneliness take me to a place, in which I felt that if I could just find someone to love (lust for) me I would be (feel) completed. My pastor (in Albany) once preached " You have to find what a person is, to know who a person is". That is so true, because I am Tasha Auriell Coleman (which is just a name), but my character is what defines me. And if that character is all messed up, I cannot expect someone else to come in and fix it, for I must desire to fix it myself.
Favorite Music:
Right now I am in love with Rascal Flatts and Chris Brown, I listen to all kinds of music
Favorite TV Shows:
Monk, Psyche, Everybody Hates Chris, Medium, Grey's Anatomy

A Glance into my thoughts

"LIFE IS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY THAT I HAVE STOP TAKING FOR GRANTED AND LOVING TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!"

"When I am lifted and feeling GREAT someone always comes along to try and ground me. But I'll be foolish to let them"

"When you love yourself for who, how and what you are...that beauty begins to show on the outside. So embrace yourself with love"

"When I look into the mirror I see strength and persevence"

SHE, HE and HIM

She gave He what wasn’t his to have
She felt such a strong attraction to He
But it was He that would lead her to Him
But She didn’t see the signs
She didn’t hold out
And gave He her
Now Him will have to clean
up the mess that He made
Him will have to gain She trust
Him will have to tear down
the wall She now has up
Make her smile every time She is with Him
And not cry every She sees He
He played on her insecurities
He said just the right things
He made her feel
Feel incredible
Him treats She lik… Continue

MORALS OR PLEASURE?

A proposition made
The terms accepted
She had second thoughts
He moved on
Her mind released him
But she forgot her heart
He won't give it back
He plays on its strings
She's always left in tears
Because of her fears
She has carried round for years
She can have it back
Under certain… Continue

Challenge: Caged Bird

The challenge was to write a flow about ignorance!!!

Your past failures
and fears of trying again
Made you discourage her
She put a cover over her light of hope
And filled herself with darken dreams
She wants to believe
But she's afraid to get dirty
Cause you told her
Dusting yourself off and trying again
Gives one the same results
And you won't see
That she has the talent
The spirit
And the drive
That her wings are spread
But she won't fly
Her mind won't let her
Because she doesn't want to dis… Continue

Challenge: To Grandma

Use a line from a Gwendolyn Brooks poem as your first line and form a poem.
I chose her poem "The Crazy Woman" and the line "I'll wait until November That is the time for me."

I'll wait until November
That will be the time for me
The time when leaves are falling in the
vibrant colors of golden yellow, fire red and bright orange
When thoughts of thanksgivings, family and turkey
floats about the air
When memories of her flow through my mind the most

I'll smile while crying
Knowing that she is… Continue

HE WILL

***Idea from my advisor Tim’s piece She is***

He will
Be my definition of true love
Wrapped in knowledge
Dipped in sensitivity
Licensed with creativity
Mastered with superb capabilities
With eyes and a smile that will capture my
Essence and stop me in my tracks

He will
Defy my ideas of my ideal man
Go beyond the traits of what I feel I deserve in one
Be draped in the I’s of
Integrity, Intelligence and Independence
Mixed with a sprinkle of insecurity and ignorance

He will
Be derived from the w… Continue
