I am in the process of creating an organization with someone else. KIP would offer all-inclusive programs tailored to the specific needs of at-risk youth, newcomers and low-income people in Winnipeg. The organization would provide the necessary tools and equal opportunities allowing participants to become valuable individuals, employees and members of the community.

We will introduce the future organization during a book reading at McNally Robinson, on September 7 (7:30 p.m. CST). A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the books will go directly towards financing the start-up of the organization. Our event will also be streamed online, because I know that a lot of people live too far to attend.

Launching a company with a very tight budget is a challenge. However, I believe that it is not impossible. I started an online fundraiser with IndieGogo and hope you will be able to help us.

We would be over the moon if you could donate some money. Do not worry about the $25 minimum. You can donate less if it is too much. However, if you can't, that's ok too. We understand that times are hard. We appreciate you anyway. ;-)
