The suicide of 15-year old Jamie Hubley earlier this month has left many in a state of shock and profound sadness. The best way to understand how this event has affected people across Canada and the rest of the world is to read some of the messages left in the …

I am in the process of creating an organization with someone else. KIP would offer all-inclusive programs tailored to the specific needs of at-risk youth, newcomers and low-income people in Winnipeg. The organization would provide the necessary tools and equal opportunities allowing participants to become valuable individuals, employees and members of the community.
We will introduce the future organization during a book reading at McNally Robinson, on September 7 (7:30 p.m. CST). A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the books will go directly towards financing the start-up of the organization. Our event will also be streamed online, because I know that a lot of people live too far to attend.
You will find the press release about the event by clicking here.
Launching a company with a very tight budget is a challenge. However, I believe that it is not impossible. I started an online fundraiser with IndieGogo and hope you will be able to help us.
It's very simple. Visit http://www.indiegogo.com/KIP-Education-Prevention-Programs. On the page, you will be able to read how Kay and I met, who we are, what KIP will be, and what we will do with the money.
We would be over the moon if you could donate some money. Do not worry about the $25 minimum. You can donate less if it is too much. However, if you can't, that's ok too. We understand that times are hard. We appreciate you anyway. ;-)
And of course, spread the word. Share this campaign on Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and other social networking sites. You can also email friends and family and/or embed our campaign on your blog and website.
Feel free to email me at cendrinemarrouat@gmail.com if you have any question or concern.
Thank you for your help! Let's make this a successful campaign!

CREATIVE THINKERS INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

1. Membership at CTI is free and open to all those interested in either the production or appreciation of the creative arts, to include literature, visual art, dance, music, film, spiritual theory, the social sciences, philosophy, general humanities, scientific inquiry, education in general, and other disciplines intended to enhance the quality of life for all humanity. Applicants should be at least 17 years old and members are allowed one full profile per person.
2. Materials posted by Members of CTI are their sole responsibility and not that of CTI management or any other member of the CTI site.
3. While recognizing that the work of creative artists is often controversial by its very nature, CTI prohibits and discourages the posting of any overtly obscene and intentionally inflammatory material. These include overt pornography, racist diatribes, religious slander, and any postings promoting discrimination against or the oppression of other human beings.
4. In the interest of stimulating creative growth, we encourage dialogue and even debate. However, Members should avoid leaving intentionally offensive or antagonistic remarks on the pages of Fellow Members. We can disagree and still remain a harmonious community.
5. Explore, grow, share, and enjoy your creative success.
Please remember, these guidelines are likely to evolve as the site itself continues to evolve and develop. We welcome and encourage your input. After all, yours are some of the best minds on the planet so we would be very foolish not to listen to what you have to say.

Hello Cendrine--
Great to see you hanging out again at CTI. Also glad to check out your various articles and posts elsewhere. Your generous work on behalf of promoting others is truly admirable and your own writing remains a true joy to read.
Btw: I'm told I missed a birthday celebration in your honor. Please allow me to wish you a belated and joy-filled one. Hopefully, the kind of good times that really count are just getting started and the blessings will continue to flow your way and last throughout your brand new personal year.
