Embracing the world with positive creativity since Sept 2007.
Poet David C. Hightower, author of The Hanging Man Dreams and one of our very own members here at CTI, has been selected Poet of the Year 2007 at The Writing Forum online community of poets
For CTI members only, I have a URL direct access to a free track (not heard here yet) from my upcoming CD of New Age Digital piano & keyboard music. The piece is a beautiful anthem or hymn called "BIG-WAVE Rider" (!?) Is it about surfing? No, but more about the majesty and power of Ocean Waves. I guess a topic that has consumed my CD release of "August Ocean Overture" (released New…Continue
Dear Friends...and extending to everyone in CreativeThinkers:
The last of 2007 grains of sand are falling down on the bottom glass and the rumor is there of fresh diapers waiting for the little 2008 to come with thundering screams (hope of joy).
I wish all of you a peaceful and promising new year with the blessing of many promises becoming reality in company of family and friends.
With all my heart

2007/2008 still in SWEDEN
I am, of course, a writer. As anybody else who happens to convey their thoughts to the written word. Okay, there are excellent conveyors, not-so-great ones; fat ones, skinny ones; hirsute conveyors and the hairless ones.
There are tiny tykes who write and gray-haired grandmothers. To be a writer, what does one need? A PhD, a special certificate, a special kind of driver's license? What then?
Perhaps a fine-leaded pencil and a napkin will do just…Continue
The Book of Shadows
My piece "Habersham and 41st" reproduced in Connect Savannah.
As promised a few days ago, here is the link to the new CONNECT SAVANNAH story, “All for the Art,” which gives an update on the publication of ELEMENTAL, the book of my images with poetry by Aberjhani:…Continue
In my life I had witnessed so much, and at times, perhaps not enough. Sometimes what I witnessed compelled me to stand taller than I would otherwise;
other times, unfortunately, I had but no choice than to take refuge in
some god-forsaken trench, cowering to the whims of my world. Perhaps
was too weak to fight back. Drugs and alcohol could weaken one's

There were no nays, debates, or abstentions when it came to declaring Oscar Emmanuel Peterson as one of the greatest jazz piano masters of all time. Born August
It's Christmas Eve, and it's unlike those of years past. There's not much under the tree except the sweater we bought for Mother at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Trish and I had wrapped it with the cartoon section of the Sunday newspaper. Also under the tree is a doll for Wendy. It's
a generic Barbie. We're hoping Wendy will break away from her Cindy

I'm just standing outside the periphery of another mountain range, thinking about what lies on the other side. I'm an explorer, a man bent on curiosity and wonderment. I'm driven by my insatiable thirst for knowledge but knowingly, I can never learn enough. Behind every door is yet another; it is an eternal quest and my
life has been provided with limitations.
I hop in my car, turn on the…Continue
Is Jerusalem the mother country, Maybe Africa, or perhaps Iraq, and Iran. I read about genocide, rape, and murder. Everybody wants to revolutionize governments around the world.
I have problems with America but there is no place else at the present I would rather be! I will not have to worry about my sisters being rape by armed gangs, local armies, and governmental military. Or shot because I don't agree or defend my household. And your excuse for deviant behavior by the most base of…Continue
We are the equivalent distinguishable acts of repetition
Shadowing auras of our own perception
Yet condemning familiarly obscure circles denied in ourselves
All for validation of our fear
Beloved let go the apprehensiveness
Live with your heart
Give until thou have no more
Then you will know true happiness
I've built up a portfolio of about a dozen tracks from my upcoming CD "August Ocean Overture" to be released New Year's Eve Day at my LULU Storefront:
Until release day, which will also be the launch of my first individual website I am offering these mp3 single downloads at very reasonable prices of about .49-.79.

The 747 was pushed onto the tarmac. Krystal looked across the aisle. Andrea and Susie were immersed in childhood drama and by the tone of their dialogue it seemed that a serious friendship was forming. Krystal blinked at them and they smiled back. As the engines revved and the flight attendants began their safety demonstration, the thoughts of returning home were becoming more of a reality now.…Continue
