Children of Shadows: A 5-Poem Series on the tragedy of murdered children (in the news).

For the memory of Leoni Keating, James Bulger, Holly Wells, Jessica Chapman, Amanda Dowler and so many others in the news then and now....

Children of Shadows 1

(For All the Lost Children)

What sentinels watch over us, the lost,

who fly as shadows

What vengeful archangels take wing,

keeping account of everything,

While we are bound to life

between two earthly planes?

While only…

Poems Everywhere Day: Eating Poetry by Mark Strand (poem with video)

Today could very well be called Poems Everywhere Day since poems are popping up on lunch bags, billboards, in emails, slipped into purses, and yes, tucked into pockets. Carrying only one seemed  insufficient to me so I chose two favorites. This is the first one:…

The Lord Poet Marc Creamore

 "The Lord Poet Marc Creamore"
The Muses asked Phoebus to name a poet leader.
Hear, said Apollo, he's on Earth, and can access

Eight Nocturnal Musings as a true perfect reader.

Love is the essence this poet's heart pumps and flows;

Ordaining soul to consecrate life in progress,

Releasing verses of wonders like a star glows,

DomainingThe…

On My 30th Summer

On My 30th Summer

Overwhelming blessings have showered me

Myriad moments of laughter and sadness

With a million minds  I have met

With a family of five I have set.

While this wonderful world keeps moving on

I shall share my talents and gifts willingly

I shall pursue my noble plans passionately

Hoping to be the best He wants me to be

While this wonderful world keeps moving on

I shall…

Poem: Release Yourself

Release yourself from haughty thoughts,

since God’s foolishness is wiser than you;

His wisdom and knowledge transcends time,

unlike the limitations of the Human view.

Release yourself from worries and concerns,

for He has promised to meet your every need;

reap benefits from the gifting that He placed

within your implantation of spiritual seed.

Release yourself now from your earthly cares;

honor Him with your time, tithes…

In Hypnotic Trance

"In Hypnotic Trance"

Please, sit and listen, the heart beats compassion;

The starving soul cries out for love and fairness...

— The key to the door — of world peace is justice!

To elevate consciousness' common senses

Is the major task of our Human Race...

— Of creative souls in free thinking minds —

Equally sharing the given Earth's goods;

— In intellectual development

Of technical, — omniform art, and…
