Fever Dream of a Pomegranate Caused By the Angry Sting of a Dying Bee: Notes on Reality

Awareness>Consciousness>Perception, it is a moebius strip of reflection, a recursive cycle of indeterminate definitions of an internal mental function wherein observational functionalism and analytic reasoning work to define within and navigate through the boundaries of…

The Primordial One (Triquatrain Poem)

The Primordial One is immanent, while He's never transcendent

And this  existent world, at the beginning, was only His vision.

The Lord has Being to  create his vision-world without lightweight

For this real world of Becoming,  with His meticulous precision.

At the beginning, we were His imagination; we were a reason for creation

And, only for being with Him, He made us, in time, to become so real.

Tower of Babel wasn't an illusion, when…

Will plate tectonics feed you?

Or, is it better to be poor and knowledgeable or an illiterate billionaire?

I’m sure you all must have come across these characters who love to jeer at

anything approaching the search for knowledge for its own sake. I’ve

been told that anyone doing pure research is “jobless” and their efforts

are useless because nobody can make money out of it.

Back in the days when I still used to go on chat, in a…

Mathematics and God's Existence: A Platonist View

Introduction

One of the deep worries that I have as a philosopher and as a Christian (specifically as a Roman Catholic), is the recent view held by many good thinkers that one evidence which may point to God's existence is that mathematics seems to be embedded in everything that exists in the universe. They seem to rely on this philosophical conviction too heavily. The purpose of this article is to stress that the view that mathematics is embedded in everything in…

Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment

The link between Mind and Social / Environmental-Issues.

The fast-paced, consumerist lifestyle of Industrial Society is causing exponential rise in psychological problems besides destroying the environment. All issues are interlinked. Our Minds cannot be peaceful when attention-spans are down to nanoseconds, microseconds and milliseconds. Our Minds cannot be peaceful if we destroy Nature.

You spoke and glaciers of hidden memories melted.

(photo of Susan L. Taylor by Marc Brasz)

When the NAACP in 2006 presented author and social activist Susan L. Namely, that Ms. Taylor is among the most effective, dynamic, and beloved human resources on the planet. In All About Love (Urban Books) a rich of harvest of writings…

Astounding Angels of the Wingless Kind

Poster for the Australian movie "Gabriel"

Are there any who fall, when they fall, quite so hard as angels do? Going by the scenario in Australian director Shane Abbess’ extraordinary noir metaphysical drama Gabriel, the answer would have to be a loud “No!” As they battle in human form for control over the middle earth region of Purgatory, where human souls dwell in limbo before descending to hell or ascending to heaven,…
