In my book, "Living with Victory After Past Mistakes" I use acronyms to express my thoughts. So today I will share one on Wisdom.

What is Wisdom?

Definition: "Being wise; knowledge and good judgment based on experience."

Wisdom comes with experience. The longer we live the more experiences we obtain. We should learn from our mistakes

(W. I. S. D. O. M.) Will I Stop Doing Old Mistakes

Wisdom should stop us from repeating old mistakes. Yes, "We learn from our mistakes." But do we really learn? Some people find themselves right back doing the same mistakes. Having wisdom should make us grow and flourish. We shouldn't dry up and wither away. Learn the lessons from your mistakes. They will make you wiser.

=====================================================================

I was speaking with my friend, D'Clarence, the other day about wisdom and he told me, Yea, cut the word down the middle and you have half wise and half dumb. Have you learned from your mistakes? Are you repeating the same mistakes over and over? What does wisdom mean to you? Well, in my book I speak on the mistakes that I have made in my life through poetry as well so I will also share a poem that expresses my lack of wisdom.

Tears through the Experiences

Wisdom, I have none.

My soul cries for wisdom.

I don't have a clue in my bones.

I need wisdom because I am confused.

I allowed my body to be misused.

I laid and played with the ungodly man,

Why? I didn't understand.

How many times must I go through

these storms before I learn my lesson?

How many times do I have to get knocked down

before I realize that God, not man, is my real blessor?

Dealing with people makes me frown,

But serving Jesus places me

in glory with a crown.

Oh God! I need Your wisdom.

I need to make the right decisions,

So I can see Your kingdom.

I read my Bible because I know

The Holy Spirit will show me a Word,

And I listen to my pastor because I know

From God he has heard!

For God tells him what he should tell me.

God's wisdom is all I need,

Help me God to be all that I can be.

From my trials and tribulations I grow

Remembering how Jesus gave His life

For me a long time ago.

I will receive all my blessings,

Because of all the lessons I've learned.

I will receive all that my heart yearns

For pressing onward to my divine goal,

Wisdom will no longer be absent from my soul.

Nice work on the definition of life...or Wisdom...either way the path to knowledge is built along the journey we make, whether good or bad, they are all decisions of self. The lesson from each is where we learn to find not only ourselves but the wisdom to know which is the better.
Even though some of us return and repeat the same mistakes, there are still those who grasp the opportunity to correct not only past mistakes but thrive on not repeating the same ones.
Your comparison with realization that God and man are light years away from each other, and yet as close as the air we breathe is a good example for us to reap benefits from. Even Jesus learned while here with us and His giving of Himself for us to be within reach of eternal life is part of the Wisdom we should seek and hold on to.
A nice article and a nice poem to place thoughts upon.

Oh...

Happy New Year, Louise...

I liked that...Where I Seldom Deny Other's Manifestations. That's having wisdom too.

When you mention not a job, that reminds me of the acronym that people would use for J.O.B...Just Over Broke. Well, as I was writing out the things that I'm grateful for God let me know that J.O.B was really (Job or Broke) and I decided that I didn't want to be broke so I decided to keep my job. I guessed I was using my wisdom again.

On that note, Some people may want to know, "why am I still here on my job?" I could be doing this or that. Well there's a thing called "transition." In that period God allows you to prepare for the next level. Or that income that you're getting from that job is a seed to plant towards your dream. Or it a skill on that job that you need to learn in order to help you fulfill your dream. So until the move happens enjoy the benefits that the job allows you to have. Therefore, you can take that knowledge and wisdom and allow it to help you build your dreams and fulfill your purpose.

According to Dr. John F. Demartini, "The Law of Transition" provides some ideas on how to make a change from something that you don't enjoy to something that you do." Now that too is wisdom, I used to question myself, Why am I still here on this job? But now because of time and wisdom the answer was given. I now know that ideas are constantly coming to me and people are showing up in my life so that when it's time to move I will not hesitate to change.

W.I.S.D.O.M. a great acronym. Wisdom is derived from a multitude of factors but I think the greatest factor is keeping an open mind, an open heart. Yes, time does play a part but even as a small child, I was blessed with the wisdom to know that it was wrong to be cruel to others. It was unwise to be selfish or uncaring. I knew at five years old that learning would be fun, not work, not a job. Possibly I was born with some of the wisdom that I still carry today.... W.I.S.D.OM. (Where I Seldom Deny Other's Manifestations) as long as the manifestations are just and sincere....

I must agree. Growing in spirituality and humanity is the place to be. If you allow yourself to grow spiritually, then humanity is knocking at your heart. They go hand-in-hand. The more you are in tune with God the closer you will be in tune with the needs of His people.

Probably one of the wisest choices that any individual can make in his or her life is the choice to grow in their humanity and spirituality--and that is expressed beautifully in this post.
