I knew the day would finally come when I would open my eyes from death and see my life no more. I remembered taking one last look before I walked out the door. I didn't listen to my heart nor did I pay attention to the warning signs. Now at the funeral, as I laid in my casket my poem called, "A Dying Love" is being read by the preacher. He reads:

Dying at the hands of another.

I was here on earth.

My life did matter.

Who were you to end my life?

I had dreams and a future,

But you couldn't see it

Nor did you care.

To you life wasn't fair,

Since I chose not to be your wife.

How dare you say

That I took you through

When all I had I gave.

For payment it cost my life.

If I were here today,

The sad part about it

I would still love you.

On that note, the casket was closed and there I still laid cold and alone. Still nobody to call my own.

Salutations to all that these letters may read.

Healthy blissed day to Poet Louise Bannerman!

I have read an exquisite cerebrating poem that strikes the dynamo of ontological thoughts, and leads one to listen to the bells of social justice and family's togetherness and harmony.

May Your Quill keep soaring in high altitude through creative skies, blown by winds of edifying intellectuality, Poet.

Thank You for keeping the light of Poetry on, and for this magnificent poem, "A Dying Love".

In gratitude and admiration,

Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

What a powerful statement on the tragedies we inflict upon each other through our lack of empathy and compassion.

Yes Ricky, I will use proceeds from one of my books to support a non-profit that brings awareness to domestic violence. At one point I was selling the blue wristbands for Avon Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program and passing out flyers.

I know that is one of the issues that I will be addressing in my speaking and writing. It's good to know that it's one of your issues too.

Awareness is key and together we can unlock the minds and bring safety to individuals that needs help.

Keep posting.

For this very reason I was drawn spiritually, metaphysically into the OJ case. And it's no wonder to me why he committed his last act on September 13, my birthday. Vindication. Full Circle....

Domestic Violence is one of the issues that I take very seriously and am trying to do what I can to further its awareness and its decrease.

Thanks for your comments Art Sun. Sadly is true. I strongly believe that every person has a choice to leave or stay. For some people they're unable to take heed to the warning signs and choose to make the wrong choice by staying. Then there are some that choose to leave, but to no avail because the person still put them in the grave. But thank God for the ones that chose to walk away and are able to talk about it. Domestic Violence is no way to handle a problem when two people can no longer compromise and live peaceably with each other, then life separately from each other might be best.

Sadly there are so many who leave this world with the thoughts written within your work...you bring a reflective piece to place thought upon...

nice work...
