My attitude is all about gratitude after waking up Friday morning, March 7, 2008, and discovering my novel, Blood Kin, A Savannah Story, was on the front page of the Savannah Morning News announcing a story about it at http://savannahnow.com/node/459058
A big part of the gratitude is just from being featured in the newspaper in a way that I never expected to see myself in it. The other big part is from the joy of seeing the years of work that I put into writing the book start to really mean something not just to me, but to people reading the book and now to those writing about it too. That makes me more determined than ever to complete the entire four-part series. Which brings me back to being grateful that part two, Isaiah’s Tears, is already in the editing stages and should be published before the year is out. Parts three and four are on the drawing board and I’m grateful for that also.
