This quote from Zukav reminded me of another one that a friend once used to make me drop my anger over a painful situation that I could not do anything about. She paraphrased the author G.K. Chesterton said “Remember, the reason angels can fly is because they take themselves so lightly.” Remembering that doesn’t fix every bad day but sometimes it helps.

Thank you even more for the quote.   I take things too hard, and. . .let's just say I'm in a Situation makes the "accept" in the AA prayer especially relevant, and I don't let go easily.  Cold and grey don't exactly help. Turning 80 !!

I can appreciate the idea but know a few people who would attest to the opposite. Soul work can and should have such an impact but it can also kick one's butt. Or does that mean you might think you're engaged in such work but actually on the wrong path?

Nice quote. I struggle with the idea behind it sometimes, as someone who feels their own emotions so much, as well as others. One of such fiery emotions has an especially hard time taking things in a "light" manner, but at least as I've gotten older, I've seen the wisdom of the idea, and I do strive for it.
