On Corruption in the Philippines
Zeus humbles himself to plead:
Oh, better stay away…away, oh, Greed!
In hundred hearts you really dwell
As a few pockets overflow to hell.
A million minds may have been tempted
Perhaps a few thousands have accepted
To drain the government coffers
To take poor folks on the noose.
Oh, greed, greed, greed…
In the guise of a grim gigantic seed
Of helping others with seeming dynamism
Of that shallow shell of materialism.
Alas, corruption…so infamous corruption
Strangling, stripping this sighing nation.
