For far too long I’ve sat under a dark cloud of doom and gloom Thinking that after you, My heart would have no room For this thing called love At least, not for me to love any one ever again My, heart turned cold And my face, it told The story of my pain Why should I go on? I had nothing to gain Because I had lost my true love Then I didn’t see the things that I see now Then I saw only what I wanted to see, See, the you I knew Would never do the things you did to me I, am not going to sit here a… Continue

Tell me your desires So that I may give birth to them Allow your spirit to impregnate mine Create an authentic love With a never ending flow Let’s dance the dance of life You bring your down south shuffle I’ll bring my Caribbean wine Or maybe we’ll play a little head game I promise I’ll keep you confused Mesmerized by my consumption of your joy juice I’ll let you take a dip Between my hips Lay your head on Mt. I see the way you look at me Hate filled in your eyes Anger tracing the outline of your face Venom spewing from your lips I, see the way you look at me And I wonder what have I done Why am I the target of your rage? By now we should be past the stage Where my presence causes friction in your life I see the way you look at me And I wonder If you could see we what I see Would that change your mind? Would the message Dr. King preached And Malcolm’s reason for hitting the streets If that dream could… Continue

Greatly enjoyed reading your blog poem REFLECTIONS. The second half of it in particular reminded me of MLK's observation that the destiny of humanity is an "inextricably interwoven" one that can only achieve the promise of greatness if we exercise greater understanding and compassion towards one another.
Thank you for being here and sharing the wonderful gift of your poetized words.
